| Kyocera Mita’s ECOSYS engine offers you an alternative approach to cartridge printing. The traditional laser printer, based on a toner cartridge forces you, by design, to scrap everything mechanically clever about the printer when the toner runs out. We have designed our printers in such a way that when toner runs dry, that’s all you replace, in a clean and convenient cassette. The drum, developer and cleaning system have been built to last. As a result we are able to offer you page printers that conform to all software standards yet are capable of printing three times as much for your money. Since the acquisition of Mita, we’ve applied the same long-life drum technology to our copier based multifunctional products, to offer similar ecological and economical benefits.

The aim of the network is to inform our customers about environmentally responsible office practices, relevant legislation and Kyocera's own environmental sustainability practices. It is part of Kyocera 's wider commitment to promoting environmentally responsible business. The principle of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is central to the work of the Green Card network and drives every activity that is undertaken by Kyocera.
Green Card is a community of organisations and individuals who are committed to minimising the impact of business activities on the environment. We work with partners from respected industry bodies to promote the tenets of green business. We are continually seeking to improve our work in this area, and welcome approaches from interested parties who feel that they may be able to add value to the Green Card network.

Kyocera’s Green Card network and our tree dedication programme is not a carbon offsetting programme or an excuse for our customers to assuage their guilt over environmental damage, it is sound business advice coupled with an ideas forum aimed at helping to prevent the damage in the first place. Our treeplanting programme takes place in the UK in conjunction with the Woodland Trust, which gives it immediate local relevance for our customers. We have been asked to plant trees to celebrate births, remember loved ones, and as a response to acts of atrocity across the globe. One of Kyocera’s guiding principles is the enhancement of quality of life, and we believe that our treeplanting programme helps to deliver this. |
